In this solo episode of the MISM podcast, I pick up where I left off in the first post in this series: Defense Against Kleptocracy. Continuing this exploration at the intersection of health and wealth, I focus on the ideology of clinicism.
Clinicism is the reduction of health to individualistic biomedical paradigms that overemphasize clinical perspectives and interventions while normalizing existing social conditions and neglecting to prioritize preventive policies that target other key drivers of health and disease.
As you can see from the list of my sources in Part 1, future episodes of this podcast will focus on the ideology of salve lucrum (Hail Profit), money as violence, the thermodynamics of wealth, and the most influential super-spreaders of misconceptions about health and wealth.
